Quality Soap Ingredients
Did you know your epidermis (skin) is the largest organ of your body?
The skin functions to block pathogens, regulates body temperature, keeps our body from losing excessive fluid, and insulates us against cold and heat.
There are three layers of skin: the epidermis (what we see); the dermis (layer beneath housing blood vessels); and the subcutaneous layer (stores fat, connective tissues, and larger vessels and nerves).
What can we say? Our bodies are pretty amazing!
It is important for us here at Cow Friend Soap to know how our body and skin interact interact with our soaps. Some chemical and commercial ingredients can penetrate through the three layers of skin and can affect the internal body systems.
We will only use essential oils as scent our bars of soap, and we will never use synthetic fragrances in our soap. Our aim is to create soap that will leave your skin—and body— healthy and happy, which is why we are very transparent with all ingredients used.
